Of course this one is extra special decorated with highly decorative brass mounts and polished bronze thick rope surrounding the stunning two hand painted porcelain plaques, featuring charming cherubs or putti figures. Each side of the cabinet is a wonderful heavy cast brass carrying handle.

The cabinet comes with a working key and the doors open to reveal a fully fitted interior including a perpetual calendar, a pair of brass topped inkwells, and the original framed slate which slots into right hand door.
This then opens up to reveal a larger writing surface, again with the original gold tooled leather, the top half opens up to store papers, and letters below.

Dating to around 1870, the entire piece remains in superb undamaged condition, looking for a discerning new owner. Measures 15" wide x 11 1/2" deep x 14" tall at rear.
