Antique Victorian Mahogany Leather Top Writing Desk

Description

This antique mahogany writing table is a very strong looking piece of furniture & very well made too. It’s in excellent condition & dates from around the 1880’s period.

The tooled leather writing surface is a warm greenish, brown colour & has lots of character. There are two drawers with fluted handles, fine dovetails & locks. The bold legs are well turned with reeded sections going around in three places & they have original porcelain casters.

This desk is quite large with plenty of working space & it’s polished on the back, so can be free standing in a room.

Depth – 27 inches, 68 cm

Height – 29 inches, 74 cm

Knee height – 23 inches, 58 cm
