Description

A Pair of Regency Period Sand Pictures.

The pictures depicting two pigs in a barn, one lying down, and one standing behind, as they catch your eye with a beady look. The other picture depicting a sow and her two piglets snuffling in hay. The pair of pictures in the original frames and glazing. The gilt frames with gathered rounded mould rims, fronting the deep corvetto profile, to egg and dart slips.

Date circa 1820.

Height 14 inches, 36cm.

Width 17 inches, 44cm.

Depth 2 1/2 inches, 6cm.

NB some glass reflection in photographs.
