A late 18th century and untouched oil on panel depicting a landscape country scene with a gentleman fishing by a river.

The painting is in the manner of John Constable who was well know for his small landscape oil sketches of country scenes , which he painted on millboard and walnut.

This painting is painted on a walnut board and does require some restoration to the bottom left hand corner and could also do with a good clean as the surface is very dirty.
