Description

Superb steel lamp and fire place companion set modelled as knights in armour c.1930. One knight carries a lantern on a pole, with a single bulb inside, freshly rewired and PAT tested. The other stands with a tall sword which lifts out to become a poker whist a good set of tongs with twisted shafts hangs at the rear (also a handle for a hearth brush which is unfortunately missing its head). Stamped on the back for the English maker Nestor together with serial design numbers and the inscription ‘from the model by Henry Banks. B.W.S’. Excellent condition.
