Rye is a beautiful ancient town and cinque port in East Sussex.

Trevor Chamberlain is a highly regarded English artist. He is known for his beautifully atmospheric landscapes. His direct and expressive style is born of the fact that he works out of doors ‘alla prima’ i.e. in one session with minimal preparation.

Born in Hertford during his twenties he worked as an architects assistant before taking up painting professionally.

He has since been elected to full membership of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
He has had numerous solo exhibitions and also been awarded the Lord Mayor of London’s Award and he won Royal Watercolour Society’s Laing Painting Competition.
