Joseph d'Asté moved to Paris around 1900 and exhibited at the Salon of French artists from 1905. His sculpted groups, which often represent children, mostly imagine representations of children and scenes from rural and popular life . One of these groups, Peasants and Children , produced between 1850 and 1909, appears in the collections of the Musee de Orsay . Joseph d'Asté was active until 1935.
