Description

A beautiful mahogany chest of drawers dating from the early 19th Century. Excellent quality and very well made with a lovely rich patina. It has an attractive bow-front and is set on bracket feet. The drawers have small brass ring pull handles and brass escutcheons. The drawers are all oak-lined, they open well and are generally clean and tidy inside.

It is in good condition for its age. There are the usual small signs of wear, some minor marks, small shrinkage splits and old surface scratches but nothing detrimental. There are some repairs to old veneer chips around the drawers and one of the back legs has been repaired and strengthened after some damage but overall it displays very well. It has been cleaned and gently polished and is ready for use.
