This is an antique steamer trunk. An English, canvas and leather nautical or maritime travel case by the Army and Navy Co-operative Society, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.

Business-like exterior with a wonderfully nautical interior finish

Displays a desirable aged patina

Canvas finish in good order

Seams bound with contrasting brown leather

The stout lid held in place with leather straps

Broad leather vamp shields the lock mechanism

Dressed with a sliding clasp and inset working lock — key present

Period travel labels to the front fascia
