Pair of French Louis Xv Style Fauteuil Open Armchairs

Description

A pair of 19th century French walnut fauteuil in Louis XV style, with foliate carved top-rails and channel moulded and foliate scroll carved frames, upholstered in a coral coloured linen slub type fabric with woven gimp trim. The back panels upholstered in check silk fabric.

The chairs are in excellent condition having been restored and re-covered in recent years, the frames have some small chips commensurate with their age.

The backs 91cm high, the seats 62cm wide at the front edge, 53cm deep and 40cm high.
