Description

A late 19thC Victorian era rosewood music stool, with lift up seat, dated c1880. The rosewood frame has an inlaid boxwood design on the front, back and sides, and on the scrolls of the seat bars. The stool stands on turned legs. The colour is rich and warm. The seat lifts to reveal the hidden box for music sheets. It’s upholstered in shantung silk with a gold and ivory pattern, with gold braid around. The base is solid. A pretty and handy piece of furniture, and ideal as a music stool, of course.

The depth of the seat box is 8cm.
