~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A beautiful antique French gilt bronze clock with exquisitely decorated Sèrves style porcelain panels, urn and dial. It is Baroque in style with scrolling foliage and mythical creatures. The pair of panels show a charming scene of a young gentleman serenading a lady.

The dial has a cherub with a basket of flowers and is complete with its original finely cut brass hands and convex glass. There is a rubbed signature for the Bergues retailer. The urn is beautifully painted with a tranquil country scene.

The French movement is of high quality and is by Vincenti. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The porcelain is in excellent condition, there is some minor rubbing to the over-glaze gilt decoration and a faint hairline on the rear of the urn.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
