Description

A stunning and highly decorative photo frame with a most attractive embossed or repousse sterling silver front backed with the original red leather backing.

To the top of the frame is a vacant cartouche which could be engraved if desired. There is a good clear hallmark at the bottom of the frame for Birmingham 1894, making this a true Victorian example, the makers mark H M is also visible for Henry Matthews.

Excellent condition measuring 8" x 6" with a glazed opening measuring 5 1/4" x 3 3/4".
