Description

Circa 1900 this tall and heavy brass lamp still has the original weight inside the base with the manufacturers mark and a reference number. Unfortunately we are unable to identify the manufacturer, but it could have come from one of the UK factories in the North known for their brass manufacturing.

The lamp measures 43cm in total; 36cm from the flat top of the column to the base, and the base is approximately 14cm square.

It weighs 2.9kgs and the last photo shows the original weighted base with the maker's marks.

The lamp has been professionally polished but not lacquered, and it was rewired by the previous owner. Our electrician is closed at present due to the pandemic and therefore the lamp will need an up to date PAT test before use.
