Pair of Antique French Marble Top Kidney Side Chests

1920 - 1940
Description

Pair of antique French style marble top kidney shaped side tables with three drawers in each.

They have pierced gilt metal galleries with swags around the marble tops & lower tiers. They also have gilt bronze mounts, feet & handles. The wood is mainly mahogany & kingwood, with some fine satinwood stringing. These tables are panelled on the drawers, sides & the backs, so they look great from all angles.

They are in excellent condition, having just been polished & I would date them to around the 1930’s period. This pair could be used as lamp tables, side tables or even bedside tables.

Depth – 15 inches, 38 cm

Height – 29 inches, 74 cm
