An exceptional quality and original throughout bureau. This is the best quality 18th century bureau I have seen in a long time with exceptional colour and patina. Everything is original form the brass swing bale handles, to the three pin lever locks; original key to the fall; original ogee feet . The interior has a swept interior with shell carved drawers, secret book slides; pigeon holes and an arrangement of drawers. two lopers extend to support the fall above an arrangement of five graduated drawers; all of which are oak lined. Flanked by fluted quarter pillars. Original back boards. Circa 1755.
