Exquisite Antique English Cigar Lighter by Mappin & Webb C.1880

Description

A wonderful Victorian silverplated cigar lighter wonderfully hand engraved all over in typical Victorian Fern designs.

There are three holders for spills which would be lit from the central burning flame, of course they would actually work very well for three cigars too. The central burner has a screw lid to fill with oil with the cotton wick which would be lit.

The underside is beautifully crated with three ball feet and all the original nuts. It is here that the mark can be found for Mappin & Webb - London & Sheffield.

All in excellent condition, measuring 6" in diameter x 5 1/2" tall.
