These attractive and historically interesting aquatints were published in 1815 by J Jenkins of the Strand in London. They each depict famous events that occurred prior to the Battle of Waterloo and were originally executed by the ''portrait & military painter'' William Heath (1794 - 1840). The engraver Thomas Sutherland (1785 - 1838) was then commissioned to produce these extremely fine aquatints. They form part of a private consignment that Culvertons have been directed to sell.
