Large Antique Heavily Carved Oak Linen Press Cupboard

A large early 19th century heavily carved gothic style oak linen press cupboard with bank of eight drawers to the base each drawer dressed with brass drop handles (later) and a two door cupboard to the top. The cupboard interior has been fitted with later pine shelves. Decorative intricate carving throughout makes this a very attractive piece with good colour and patina. Comes apart into two pieces.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear and some age related marks in places. Structurally solid and sound. Some signs of old historic woodworm in places, this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. Later replaced brass drawer handles and later added pine shelves to the top. Some shrinkage splits to the side and one to the front panel. Overall a good piece.
