Octagonal Antique Silver Capstan Inkwell 1915

Description

This large OCTAGONAL ANTIQUE SILVER CAPSTAN INKWELL was made by the well-known and sought after silversmiths of A&J Zimmerman in 1915.

This lovely Silver Capstan Inkwell is octagonal in shape rather than the usual circular capstan inkwell shape and comes complete with the original glass ink container and felt base.

Free from and added initials, monograms or engravings, this fabulous Capstan Inkwell is in excellent condition and would look superb on any desk or would add to any collection.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

The lid does not close fully – nothing much but mentioned for accuracy.

Dimensions:

Width – 4.75” (118mm) / Height – 2.5” (63mm)

Weight – 445gm / 14.3ozt (Note: Weighted Base)
