Description

A fine pair of mechanical snuffer snips which are silver plated on steel and marked for maker Gilbert of Birmingham. They are on an Old Sheffield Plated tray, marked with the 2 Stars of maker Matthew Boulton and dating to c1810.

The snips have a fine strong mechanism

In good condition - slight wear / copper bleed to tray, especially to one end.

Total weight approx. 374g

Length of snips approx. 18cm.

Tray measures approx. 24cm x 10.5cm.
