Description

Fine late 17th. century french Louis XIV provincial cherrywood sedan armchair with finely carved top to back and having scrolling arms and paneled back and front. Still retains to one side the iron rings for lifting poles when used as a sedan chairs, Has some restoration to bottom of legs and back part of seat. Wonderful honey colour with great waxed patina. A great chair of striking appearance.
