Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Wirework Chamber Stick, Circa 1800

Description

This very unusual and rather charming Georgian chamber stick dates circa 1800. The wirework sides forming arches under a simple reeded rim. The circular drip pan with pierced border.

The reeded flat handle with an oval shaped thumb piece. The opposite side with a slot housing a detachable cone shaped snuffer.

The snuffer with shell decoration

Condition:

Good.

Copper showing through at places.

Dimensions:

Height up to rim: 6 cm / 2.4 inches.

Length: 14cm / 5.2 inches.

Rim diameter: 8cm / 3.2inches.
