Pair of 19th C Cut Glass Magnum Decanters

Description

A substantial pair of magnum sized decanters, each with a star burst and diamond decorated stopper, of rounded form, with a polished top, and tall waisted socle. The bodies with outswept rims, above tall necks with facetted panels, gathered within three bands, dimple cut to repeat the facetting. The rounded shoulders sweeping into tapering bodies. The bodies decorated as per the stoppers, with star burst and diamond cutting. The undersides filled with star bursts.

An attractive and impressive pair of magnums.

Date circa 1850.

Height 15 1/2 inches, 40cm.

Width 6 1/2 inches, 17cm.
