Description

A superb antique hinged locket decorated with a high relief design of flowers and curlicues to the front. Nicely weighty, but not uncomfortably so, it hangs on a substantial bail which moves freely from right to left. The silver is unmarked but has been tested.

The inside, a little blackened, contains an acetate in one side and backing cloths.

The locket opens and closes easily, the hinge is in good condition and it snaps shut securely with a click.

There is a crease in the back surface (see photos).
