An elegant early Victorian rosewood side table/work table with a single drawer. It stands on a pair of turned legs on each side supported by a sledge base and flat bun feet, united by turned stretchers for stability. It has a superb warm and rich colour, making for a striking and elegant piece. Dated to about 1840, when much early Victorian furniture bore the style and elegance of the William IV era.
