Antique French Handpainted Paste Limoges Brooch

Description

A dazzlingly pretty antique metal brooch featuring a handpainted and gilded ceramic portrait framed in a halo of very sparkly old cut pastes.

The brooch is in the Limoges style and was acquired in France.

In good antique condition, see photo. No chips or cracks to the plaque. There is some wear to the golden surface but the construction is sturdy and the C clasp affixes as it should.

Size: 3.1cm diameter.
