Large Antique English Silver Jewellery Box - 1911

Description

A beautiful heavy jewelry box made from English sterling silver standing on four stunning legs.

A superb shape is highlighted by a raised border surrounding a guilloche / engine turned decoration splaying out from the central circular cartouche further enhanced by an attractive polka dot detail, quite wonderful.

The hinge lid fits well and the hinge in excellent working order; once opened, reveals a blue silk lined interior.

The full English hallmark can be found on the underside for Birmingham 1911 together with the makers mark for the well renowned silversmith, Synyer and Beddoes.

Excellent condition (a few superficial scratches to lid mentioned purely for accuracy) measuring 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 2 3/8" high.
