Description

Fine and rare 16th, century Nuremberg brass alms dish, unusually depicting the head of Cicero in centre with lettering around, with and punched decoration to outer edge. Has slight creasing commensurate with its age and small wear crack near edge at about 10 'o clock. These usually have biblical scene in centre rather than in this case a head. Not often seen.
