Rare novelty Dunhill Bolide MG motor car table lighter, circa 1930s
as shown in the Blei & Bottoni Dunhill lighter book.
According to the book this model first appeared in the Rue de la Paix in 1934, this is the second model having the lighter under the bonnet, all known examples are unmarked.
The lighter mechanism strikes and opens the bonet when the steering wheel is pressed, re loaded by closing the bonet.
Chrome plated brass body with original black ''hammerite'' painted chassis.
Replaced non original windscreed and rubber tyres, some light spotting and scratches to the chrome, nothing bad, otherwise all original,
In very good condition and working order.
Length 6'' or 155mm, weight 365 grams.
