Large, eye catching, 27, 1/2 '' Simon & Halbig German Bisque Doll Marked 70 , circa 1910
Bisque head impressed “K * R HALBIG 70 with no cracks.
From 1902 the two famous doll firms collaborated with Kammer modelling the heads and Simon and Halbig producing them, marked by both firms.
She has pierced ears, open shut mouth with four teeth, medium completion not overly highly coloured, excellent open shut gray eyes with painted lashes. molded and painted brows.
Composition body jointed at knees, elbows and wrists. lovely hands in the French manner.
Thick old red velvet dress with matching bonnet and white flannel embroidered petticoat.
In good, sound overall condition with some light wear to the body.
Her hair eyelashes now missing, one finger has been re-attached, original mohair wig on woven pate, glued to bisque, now a bit dishevelled.
