Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The underside is where the full English hallmark can be found for Sheffield 1943, Art Deco in era. The maker was I believe Deakin of Sheffield Ltd. The underside is also signed by the Scottish jeweller / retailer for Jas Carr of Aberdeen.
Superb condition having been professionally polished by our silversmith. The tray measures 8.2 inches square of 20.8 cms square x 1/2" (1.27" tall).
