Description

A quality Georgian period London stick barometer by Richardson of Leadenhall Street. A mahogany case of elegant proportions. The original cistern cover with brass strap. An architectural pediment with the original central brass finial. Well engraved silvered dial with scale from 27 to 31 inches with a slide adjuster. Circa 1810.

The Richardson family or instrument makers worked in London in the 18th and 19th century. Matthew Richardson was 'Optician to His Majesty'.
