A Collection Of 18/19th Century Gadget Walking Sticks

There are seven sticks in this private collection: A sharks'' vertebrae with silver collar and ebony handle, c 1870, a Georgian mahogany cane with bulbous grip, which activates a stabbing blade from the handle end by the action of the force created by holding the stick at its base and moving in an arc through the air,this fulcrum allows the blade to exit and lock into place, a malacca case with pewter ring encasing a full steel blade with fine engraving, fine example of a full blade sword, a bamboo garden grab in working condition, a cane with horn grip, silver engraved collar and ebony shaft with a stabbing blade activated by tapping the ferrule on the floor, the blade then has a mechanism that locks it into place, a polished blackthorn stick with pistol grip which slides apart to reveal a steel blade, the final stick is plain and simple with an ebonised shaft, engraved silver collar and green glass ball grip.
