Good Edwardian Silver Plated Canteen

1900 - 1920
Description

A good and complete Edwardian silver plated and mahogany cased canteen from the retailer George Rolin of 98 Newgate Street, London. The knives & forks having solid silver collars and are hall marked for Henry Greaves of Earl Street, Sheffield with a date letter for 1909. All 44 pieces have chased and engraved detail and consists of 12 forks, 12 knives, pair of berry spoons, fruit bowl, grape scissors, cream jug, sucrier, pair of salts & spoons, serving knife & fork, 4 lobster picks and 4 crackers. The mahogany case having a non-engraved cartouche and working lock with key. Condition - very good with slight wear to the 2 salts. Dimensions:- Height…5.75’’/ 14.5cm. Width…19’’/ 48cm.
