Antique Inlaid Mahogany Bachelors Chest of Drawers

1920 - 1940
Description

Antique inlaid mahogany bachelors chest of drawers of small proportions & in excellent condition.

The top & the drawer fronts have cross banded edges with fine satinwood & ebony stringing in between. This chest has a pull out brushing slide with a tooled leather inset, which would be very useful for writing on. The drawers have the original swan neck brass handles. There is an apron front on the base in between the splayed feet.

This piece is antique Sheraton in style & I would date it to around the 1930’s period.

Depth – 16 inches, 40 cm
