Victorian Silver Vase 1891

Description

Standing on a stepped gadrooned base, this lovely SOLID SILVER VASE has a superbly embossed body with a foliate and scroll design.

The top rim of this lovely vase is crimped and flared giving the vase a very attractive appearance.

Made by the well-known silversmith William Comyns in 1891, the vase is free from any added engravings, initials or monograms and is in excellent condition despite being almost 130 years old.

Condition:

Used / Excellent

There is no damage and no repairs.

The base covering has been replaced.

Dimensions:

Height – 7.5” (190mm) / Diameter – 2.5” (64mm)

Weight – 266gm / 8.55ozt (Note: weighted base)
