Tinker & Toad has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Having a domed roof above a stepped cornice. The central clock face with Arabic numerals to dial being flanked by tapered Tuscan columns and delightful Ruskin style cabochons. Laurel wreath decoration encircles the columns, dial, and cabochons. The attractive plinth base with contrasting hammered plates with inset buttons and corner mounts. Strikes on the hour and half hour. Dated October 1919. A rare find indeed that would grace any interior and make a beautiful focal point in the finest of rooms!
