A fabulous example of a Georgian memorial ring in 15ct gold, garnet and enamel. The centre deep red garnet is a cabochon cut and free of any blemishes. It is surrounded by enamel, leading nicely into the elaborate floral designed shoulders. There is an inscription to the rear of the face, “Patrick Carnegie Esqr, of Lower, died 24th Novr 1819. Aged 62”. An excellent ring of a good weight in fabulous condition, over 200 years old. A part of our antique gold ring collection.
