Silver & Guilloche Enamel Small Desk Magnifying Glass & Letter Opener by Hasset & Harper Ltd, Birmingham 1934

Description

This elegant desk duo comprises of a small magnifying glass and a medium sized letter opener. Both with a pale green guilloche enamel handle, the engine turned enamel inset present on both sides of the handles. The magnifying glass mounted with a 4cm diameter steel mount inset with magnifying glass. The letter opener with a 12cm stainless steel blade.

H&H Ltd for Hasset & Harper Ltd

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Lion Passant.

Date letter "L" for 1934 for the magnifying glass.

Date letter "G" for 1931 for the letter opener.

Condition:

Very good.

Handle in excellent condition on magnifying glass.

Glass with no surface scratching.

No loss to the enamel.

Minute pin prick loss on one side of the handle on letter opener, as can be seen on images.

Magnifying glass: Length 10cm / 3.6 inches.

Glass diameter: 4 cm / 2inches.

Letter opener: Length 21cm /8.2 inches.
