Original timbers, sturdy, heavy and substantial. The drawers open and close smoothly, fully oak lined and pegged throughout. Turned and reeded supports over lower tier. Reeded borders to the chest.
Feet original, two with very slim oak cappings. Otherwise no later timbers. Handles in original places and appear hand cast and original with iron pin tails.
An absolutely delightful and very rare oak chest of great charm and in superb condition for age.
