The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement, grade number 20, which is working well. The movement is fully signed and the serial number 8264962 which dates it back to 1897. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50.7mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company.

The glass lens is in nice condition with only minor marking from use.
The signed enamel dial has a couple of very faint hairline cracks at 12 o'clock although hardly noticeable but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has its original gold hands and blued steel sub seconds hand.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
