Childs stained varnished pine framed Orkney chair, circa 1890.
Original Scottish island vernacular furniture.
Oat straw back, bound together with twisted grass cord, with curved shape creating some draught defense and a comfortable supportive seat.
In very good, sound, strong, un-restored condition with some wear from use to the varnish, the strawwork all good, tight and sound.
