Description

A handsome oak blanket box or coffer dating from circa 1920s. Of panelled construction with carved front in 17th century style, carved with a central arch flanked by diamond lozenges below a scrollwork frieze. It has a solid lid which lifts to reveal storage space to the inside and it stands on stile feet. In well-figured oak with good colour and patina it would make a great blanket chest, coffer table or TV stand.
