Edwardian Folding Steamer Campaign Chair

1900 - 1920
Description

A handsome antique English Edwardian steamer chair or folding campaign chair in polished teak with brass fittings dating from circa 1900. In solid beautifully aged and polished teak, the upholstered folding x-frame is united by turned cross stretchers. Fully adjustable it will recline into several positions from upright to near horizontal by means of two brass collars and metal pins and is in good working order. It has been recently reupholstered and is a good comfortable seat; a perfect statement piece for any room.
