Regency Sea Shell Display Box Valentine Inlaid Rosewood Antique

Regency period rosewood veneered mahogany octagonal box, circa 1820
 
Line, dot and band inlaid decoration in boxwood and ebony.
 
Eight mahogany internal divisions loose filled with shells.
 
The lid a good fit, lock with no key
 
In very good condition, insignificant chips and warps
 
Worn, later baize lined base and silk lined lid, later inscribed K E Powell 1882
 
10,1/2'' x 7,7/8'' x 2,1/8'' weight 963 grams.
