Antique 18th Century Welsh Oak Coffer Chest

A well presented antique 18th century Welsh oak coffer or blanket box chest with three moulded panel front, moulded plank top, raised on stile feet. The hinged lid reveals a generous storage space including a candle box to the right hand side. The initials ‘E T’ are scribed into the front centre of the top/lid.

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. General surface wear in places and some evidence of old historic wood worm to the back (fully treated) but overall a good example of an 18th century oak coffer.
