Ideal as a desktop stationery box or for jewellery perhaps. Featuring two doors with a single removable internal shelf over a small drawer. Fielded and intricately carved doors, with original brass escutcheons and hinges (made to the scale of the cabinet, a rarity). Panelled to the sides, with molded and chamfered edges all around, all raised on turned feet. Makers stamp on the drawer for Marsden & Banning, Manchester (known as Marsden, Banning & Dobb until late in 1862).
