Description

A fine quality burr walnut & marquetry inlaid Victorian Period pier cabinet. The rectangular top is veneered in beautifully figured burr walnut and boxwood line inlaid detail above an ebony and marquetry inlaid frieze. Having a central glazed door with a fine ribbon and swag escutcheon and ormolu moulding, opening to reveal a silk lined shelved interior. The door is flanked by fine marquetry, ebony and satinwood inlaid pilasters with cast lions mask ormolu mounts. Supported on an ormolu mounted rectangular plinth. English circa 1880
