Description

An elegant Georgian era mahogany drop flap work table. The table has a single drawer with ebony single line stringing and original lock. It stands on elegant turned legs, on original castors. The table edge is reeded all round, indicating a degree of refinement. Recessed pull out mahogany arms support the drop flaps when extended. In excellent “clean” condition, with good colour and patina. No damage and, especially the wooden hinges joining the flaps to the central part are intact. (The key does not operate the lock.). Dated to c1800.

The width dimension of 64cm is the max when the flaps are extended. With flaps down, the width is 36cm. The height of the frieze, containing the drawer, is 10cm.
